North Somerset has put together some fascinating data based on the last census about the electoal wards in the district.

 

The electoral ward of Yatton is rather bigger than the area covered by the Parish Council. It stretches from the boundary with the Parish of Congresbury to the Severn Estuary.. You can find the census data at:

BBC DOMESDAY PROJECT 1986

 

In 1086 King William I of England published the Domesday Book, hand written on vellum and now on display at The National Archives in London.

In 1986 the BBC published its Domesday Project on a pair of twelve inch laser discs with a laserdisc player and microcomputer.
